Q. How do I obtain a Building Fire Report?

A. Building fire reports can be obtained at the Fire Prevention Bureau,
47 Lowell Street, Peabody.

Our hours of operation are the same as City Hall.
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 8:30a.m. to 4:00p.m.
Thursday, 8:30a.m. to 7:00p.m.
Friday, 8:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.

What is the request process?

A. The request can be made by phone, mail, or in person. The report can be mailed or picked up at the Fire Prevention Office.

What do you need from me?

A. Fire Prevention needs the date, address, and approximate time of day of the building fire. Proper identification of the requesting party is required.

How Long Will it Take?

A. Allow 5-10 days for data entry and processing. For in-person requests, when information is available, thirty minutes to two hours.

What else should I know?

A. All requests are $5.00. Checks are made out to the City of Peabody.
Mail requests must include check and self-addressed, stamped envelope.
This procedure does not include Motor Vehicle Fires.
