Known that whereas D.S. Littlefield, D.B. Lord, W.W. Reed,
G.H. Carr, M.W. Cummings, W.H. Joll, D.A. Larrabee, W. Curtis, C.H.
Potter, J.O. Buxton, J.F. Moreland, C.K. Mallard, and C.H. Hooper,
have associated themselves with the intention of forming a corporation
under the name of The Relief Association of the Peabody Fire Department,
for the purpose of the assistance and relief of its members
and their families in case of sickness, accident or death, and have
complied with the provisions of the Statues of this Commonwealth in
such case made and provided, as appears from the certificate of the
President, Secretary, Treasurer and Directors of said Corporation,
duly approved by the Commissioner of Corporations, and recorded in
this office:
Now,
Therefore, I, HENRY B. PIERCE, Secretary of the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts, do hereby certify that said Littlefield, Lord, Reed,
Carr, Cummings, Joll, Larrabee, Curtis, Potter, Buxton, Moreland,
Mallard and Hooper, their associates and successors, are legally organized
and established as and are hereby made and existing corporation under
the name of The Relief Association of the Peabody Fire Department,
with the powers, rights, and privileges, and subject to the limitations,
duties, and restrictions which by law appertain thereto.

the Commonwealth of Massachusetts hereunto affixed this twenty-seventh
day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-four.
