Winter is here again, and with that comes the snow. We asked that everyone drive carefully and to watch out for children who may be forced to walk on the streets. We also ask the pubic to clear their sidewalks so pedestrians aren't forced to walk on the streets and clear out any fire hydrants that may be in front of their homes. Thank you

MISSION STATEMENT:
The primary mission of the Peabody Fire Department is to provide a range of programs designed to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Peabody from the adverse effects of fires, sudden medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions created by either man or nature.

The Peabody Fire Department is NOT just a department that responds to structure fires in our community. Our non-emergency goal is to develop programs which meet the safety needs of our community. Our Fire Prevention Bureau has a comprehensive program for inspecting and monitoring residential and commercial fire safety installations. Fire Prevention duties include building plan review, fire code enforcement and public education. Several grants have been awarded to support our school fire education program targeting Kindergarten through 3rd. grade students. The program is called S.A.F.E., Student Awareness of Fire Education.
