Local 925 received its Charter from the International Associations of Firefighters
on the eleventh day of June, 1947. The First Union President was John Toye.

Local 925 is the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all uniformed employees of the
Peabody Fire Department.

Personnel assigned to the Fire Alarm Division are included in membership.
The Chief of the Department is excluded from membership.
